April 8th, 2015, is International Romani Day which will be commemorated in many cities across Canada. This day is a chance to celebrate the richness and diversity of Romani cultures. It is also a chance to raise awareness of human rights atrocities, stereotypes, racism, and cultural scapegoating that have led to centuries of discrimination, persecution, and genocide against Romani people around the world.
